About Me

I began bookbinding in 2009 as an apprentice where I honed my skills in traditional techniques and developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship. When I opened my own bindery I specialized in creating custom books and sailing logs using nautical charts and topographic maps. I have since expanded my offerings to include hiking, garden, and whiskey journals.

In 2015 I started exploring leather working in greater depth, leading to wallets, leather journal covers, and even tote bags. Each piece crafted by hand, using traditional techniques with modern aesthetics.

In 2023, I expanded my skill set to include laser engraving. I’m capable of marking intricate designs onto leather and streamlining processes such as cutting and hole punching, which has alleviated strain on my hands. After laser engraving, I bring each piece back to my studio, where I dye and hand-stitch the leather, ensuring every item is both functional and artistically crafted.

My work reflects an appreciation to both old-world techniques and modern tools, resulting in pieces that are both custom and approachable. I produce items that tell a story and resonate with the people who use them.
